What an Awesome 2018 it has Been!

Another year has ended – 2019 is here and before we know it, it’ll be December again! Our 2018 was a great year for us filled with so many big decision making, hence a challenging 2019 ahead of us. So before I start my 2019 blog entries, here’s an ending post for 2018.

Complete on 2018 NYE

We are blessed to be able to welcome 2018 together last year (and again this year). Dane went home on December 31, 2017, for a vacation leave of 21 days. It was among the simplest & happiest new years we had. We celebrated the new year in his hometown in Leyte.

2018 family travels

2018 was a memorable year for me for another reason: I got to travel abroad for the very first time! When it’s your first time and you saved big time for your travel, you can’t not get all thrilled about it! I was smiling the entire time we were falling in line at the immigration that Dane had to remind me to “act normal” LOL! Oh, our Hong Kong travel is definitely staying on my memory box for long!

We also went to Kalanggaman Island during our vacation in Leyte. That’s another reason to praise God for 2018. The island was a wonderful place – I would go there again if I can! It’s marvelous! <3

Triple graduation ♥

If our travels are not enough reason to praise God for 2018, here’s more: my sister, my brother-in-law and I graduated this year. God is awesome! After sending her to school for four straight years, Beb finally graduated from her college degree. It was a challenging four years for both of us and I’m just grateful we made it! Beb is now home and is working in a rural bank in Tagum City.

My brother-in-law and I, on the other hand, graduated from our course in Bachelor of Theology last April. I didn’t expect to even graduate anymore but God has a completely different plan for me and for that, I will continue to glorify him.

Home for good

Lastly (and the biggest blessing & challenge this year), Dane is finally home for good! He resigned from work last September and went home to be with us on November 17th, exactly a month after our 10th anniversary.

For all these reasons and more, God deserves all the praises and honor.

This year’s going to be tough but we will hold on to God’s promises and provision.
