Last week Dane and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. It’s the first time in 3 years that we got to celebrate together. So, we had a little celebration that day with Nate – a short staycation and dine out without worrying about our diet. LOL!
Vanilla Cupcake Buffet
Vanilla Cupcake Bakery in Trinoma is among the few restos that with the cheapest buffet rate you can find! At Php 298, you’ll enjoy their chic ambiance and yummy food offer. It is one of me and my blogger friends’ choices when it comes to meet up venues.
Dane has never been here so I thought it would be nice to take him there so he could try their food offers. We all enjoyed our time there. Super pig out time, I didn’t worry about my belly fats that time. LOL!

For the first time after 3 years, @daneelnathan and I got to celebrate our wedding anniversary together. It was a simple but memorable family staycation and pig out. I love you so much, my love! Thank you for the 6 chaotic and wonderful years of marriage with you! 🍻 to more years together, ’til death do us part. #anniversary #weddinganniversary #family #familybonding #ohana #lovedones #love #marriage #happiness #121212
Quick Staycation via Airbnb
I asked to log in for 4 hrs that day at work so I could have more time with my boys. We stayed in an affordable Condo for the night so we could have our own family time. It’s one of the things I look forward to – a time where it’s just the three of us. I enjoy every moment of it. It’s just different when it’s just us. At home, there were 6 of us so if I could have a moment with just Dane and Nate, I’d love to!
During our stay did nothing aside from rest, cuddle and talk! We had a devotion where we expressed our thanksgiving towards each other, then we prayed and thank God for guiding us always and providing our daily needs and more! God is gracious and faithful! Giving thanks and learning to appreciate is one of the things I like for Nate to learn growing up. So we try to teach him to do that as early as possible.
About the place where we stayed – it was affordable, clean, nice and it’s got all the things we needed for the stay.
God’s faithfulness through the years
It’s been 6 years since Dane and I stood in front of God and the many witnesses to vow to be together until our last breath. The journey was never easy, he had to be away for more than 3 years to work abroad so we could save up for Nate (and his sibling/siblings, God willing). I’m just so happy we got to celebrate our wedding anniversary together this time.
If not for His mercy and grace, we wouldn’t be where we are now. We still have a lot of trials to go through and I’m pretty sure things won’t be easy, but I trust that God will continue to take care of us. In Him alone we trust!
We will continue to celebrate our wedding anniversary as a reminder of His goodness, doesn’t matter how simple the celebration is. 🙂
Therefore, what God has joined together, let no man separate.
