If you notice, this year, I don’t post on this blog as often as I did 2 years ago.
I have been contemplating and discussing with Dane since last February or March whether or not we should enroll Nate to a school already.
And with a help of a few advice from friends, neighbors and virtual friends, we decided not to send Nate to school this year. Last Monday, we started our informal homeschooling.
I call it informal because I never attended any Homeschooling seminars at all. What I only have is my years of experience as a Sunday School teacher.

So far, we are both loving it. We play pretend that I’m his teacher and he’s my student for 1.5 to 2 hours every day. Since Nate can already read, we are focused on writing because his interest in it is not as big as his interest in reading. Nothing serious, I just want us to bond more through this and have fun while learning.
We do simple activities, paint, color, read bible stories and write.
This also means that I may not be able to write too often on this blog. I’m not abandoning it for good either. I may not be an excellent writer but I really miss writing on my blog if I can’t write for 3 days or more.
Hopefully, I’ll be able to handle this new task as I prepare Nate for next year’s schooling. I am honestly still considering homeschooling him for good but that’s another story – Dane and I still need to talk about that for hours. Also, I see that Nate is interested in going to school and he’s looking forward to doing that next year so we’ll see about that.
I will still be updating this blog from time to time but it may not be as often as I used to. And that’s fine. We all have our priorities and our blogs can wait for us. After all, I created this because I wanted to have an online journal. And up to now, it still served its purpose.
So yeah, see you around (and on my other social media accounts ☺).
For now, let’s enjoy the lovely bed weather! ♥
