This is my first, and certainly not my last attempt at video marketing via the online website Lumen 5. This video was uploaded to the Youtube page of Filipina Homebased Moms.
What happened was, the admin asked for volunteers who would be willing to create a video to upload to its Youtube. I have been a member of this group since mid this year and I attended its first meet-up about 3 months ago. This group is fairly new, they started last February this year but is growing hastily. The group has 37k+ as of writing.
I wasn’t sure if I could make the video (or if it would be presentable enough for online sharing) but I decided to volunteer and give it a try. It took me about 4 hours or to complete this video 2-minute from creating the content to uploading it to Dropbox for review.
The hours of trying and learning a new skill paid off because this was what I got in return:
I’m happy the admin liked it and uploaded the video right away. This may be a small thing to others but for me, it made a great impact. Why? Because it can create a new window of opportunity for me – something that never even crossed my mind before.
Aside from that, I learned a very important lesson – “you’ll never know if you never try”. Fear is the main root of failure. Many of us failed because of fear – not because we’ve tried enough. Had I not volunteered and tried doing this, I would never know that I can do video marketing.
So what is Lumen 5?
Lumen 5 is a helpful online tool for video content marketing. If you love Canva, I bet you’ll love Lumen 5 too! For someone who’s used this tool once, I can say that it is absolutely user-friendly. Just a few exploration on this website and you’ll learn to maximize the use of it already.
This website is created for both newbies and pros – it’s just an amazing app for me! I’ll definitely use this site again to learn more about creating content videos.
Have you tried using this website before? Did you like it? I’d love to hear from you. 🙂
