Women’s Local Fellowship/Bonding

GSGGCC Women’s Group during Mother’s Day 2017

I grew up attending fellowships. A Fellowship is a gathering of believers in Christ. We, Christians believe that fellowshipping helps our spiritual growth as it encourages and renews our commitment to God, at the same time, we learn more about His word.

Last May 28th, we had a local church fellowship for women. Our church’s women’s department is a group of married women. Melisa and I are two of the youngest members since we just married four and five years ago consecutively. It’s safe to say we had a great time and that we enjoyed our time together.

Our short program started with us singing short action songs. I was the one who led the singing. I had them sing children songs and we were laughing because of the actions that we had to do.

That’s us, singing an action song

After the singing, we had a short meditation from our speaker, Ma’am Meriam Holoyohoy,  who was also a church member. We learned another lesson about the word of God and at the same time, were reminded of our roles as wives and mothers.

After we meditated the word of God, our church youth volunteered to host our parlor games. We played a few Bible and parlor games and were all sweating out but had a really fun time! haha! I’ll be very happy to do it all again!

Then we rested, ate snacks and had a forum where everyone was given a chance to open up about their lives – problems, challenges, blessings and more. Nothing feels good that knowing that there are other people who care about you. We all agreed that we needed more of this in order to pray about each other more.

Snack time! ♥

The program ended with a short singing and a prayer. We all went home with smiles on our faces. It was such a great time to destress and mingle with other moms.

Thank God for our friends and church brethren who are always there to listen to us and be willing to help and pray for us.

  1. This is a good way of loosening up from all the stress in our daily lives. It's great to have a community like this knowing all these God-centered people. Looks like you all had fun! 😉

  2. I missed this already! Hopefully ma work out natin this coming December at mas masaya pa dito 🙂 nakakawala ng stress at nakakatulong din sa mga mommies na makarelax.

  3. Ang saya ng ganito! Before, we had a Life Group sa office.Too bad when our program closed, hindi na namin naituloy. I am hoping na makaattend ulit ng ganito 🙂 God bless, sis! 🙂

  4. Looks and sounds like a lot of fun nga:) This is something na I wish I could be part of too. Many may not realize it pero fellowships like these not only allows us to be connected with people who shares the same beliefs but also makes us better wives, mothers and friends.

  5. Gatherings like these are so empowering. I haven't experience this kind of fellowship, and I wish to attend something like this. Maybe, I need to join women's group in our church.

  6. It's so nice to belong to such a supportive and loving community. I'm not really a part of anything like that. Would love to find a community like that here.

  7. It's a great thing that you are within a women's group like this. There's nothing more empowering than being surrounded by people who will support you and enjoy your company.

  8. I do believe in coming together as a church, or in small groups to help strengthen each other's faith, to share lives together, and to grow together. It's hard to be a loner Christian, there is no one to be accountable to.

  9. This is what I'd like to have more of in my life. A commitment to a belief and a strong relationship with fellow women. Sometimes the support alone helps you to surpass any problems you might have.

  10. Such a beautiful organization. Sometimes, we always look forward to something and it seems your group looks forward to Sundays and days where you just meet, sing and share.

  11. Why don't you try it, sis! As one of the youngest members in the group, I really didn't realize the fun I'd experience with them. Napaka game! lol.

  12. With everything going on around the world, groups like this are what moms need 🙂 I am not the most religious person in the room, but I would love to join groups with members that understand each other.
