Thursday Thoughts: What Kept us Busy Recently?

I just realized that my last blog post was seven days ago already. I’ve not written anything for this week yet. Where was I? I guess I took another short hiatus, lol! Kidding aside, the main reason why I couldn’t write often now was that our youngest sister is not here anymore, she’s back to schooling after taking a pause for one school year.

Now, I can only write when someone is taking care of Nate or when he’s sleeping. And that’s fine, I mean, I don’t see any problems with the new set up. After all, this blog is about our lives and our parenting journey. There’s no pressure at all. ๐Ÿ™‚ But of course, I still try to blog as often as I can because this is what I love to do.

For this week though, here are the things that kept us busy at home.

I spent the entire day off last Monday with Nate. We slept, read and played. Monday is supposedly the day for me to catch up on my blogging but I didn’t do it this time. Our room was a mess and I didn’t care, I just wanted to rest and have more time with Nate.

In our messy bed, my grumpy #wokeuplikethis face, and no, that’s not eyeshadow, that’s black eye! I don’t know how I got that, maybe Nate threw something that hit my eye, lol!ย
Our cousin came over again and stayed with us overnight, only to leave first thing the following day for her flight to the US. She’s been dealing with applications, requirements, and paperwork for more than a year, I guess and I’m happy it’s all done now. As of yesterday, she finally made it to Pennsylvania, US. Congratulations to her and her hubby.

Yesterday, we had a short meet up with my friend and co-believer in Pasay City. They came all the way from Spain and are now in her hometown in Davao. I’m very happy to finally see her kids in person. They’re so adorable, kaso si Nate, inunahan ng hiya, ayun di halos umiimik! lol.

Dane and I were also able to spend two hours on a video call yesterday since it was his off. Last week, we didn’t have the chance to talk for a long time because he was out with his workmates somewhere. So thankfully, we had that chance again yesterday.

My boys ♥

What kept you busy so far?

  1. We had a busy week last week too because school started for our son. Since he's homeschooled, I really had a lot to prepare in terms of lessons, materials, scheduling, etc. This week, I think we've fallen into a routine already that works for all of us at home. I'm getting significantly less sleep now but that's okay. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. My life became busy too because my son is already back to school. Say hello to homework, quizzes and this week, they already have Unit Test so I need to make reviewer. But like you, I still find time to blog ng mabawasan backlogs, minsan kasi kahit may time ako, tinatamad naman ko magblog. hehehe!

  3. Moms of little kids are very busy especially when we are dont have anyone to help us. It's good that you still find time to talk reach out with your relatives and friends. Busy moms like us need to build relationship with other talaga, part of our emotional need pa din. ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Naks, the day or week wouldn't really be complete without talking with Dane. I admire your set up or your faith in each other. It's already half past the year and a few more months Dane would be home. I just don't know if I would be real happy as you would soon go to the province once Dane's back. Hehe selfish me. But honestly, I hope you consider living in Manila and try life here. Perhaps Dane would find a decent job in Manila and that means no reason for you to go elsewhere.

  5. Naku, minsan nalang din ako pagdating sa part na 'yan. Thankfully, we are able to fellowship sa church every Sunday so tinitreat ko na din sya as part of my social life. hehe

  6. Nasanay na e. Parang kulang pag di kami nakakapag telebabad once a week. lol. Thank you, we're not closing any possibilities pa naman. These are just plans for now, if it's God's will that we stay here, we'll be happy to stay. hehe.

  7. Sobrang bilia ng oras, when you have lots to do. Parang kahapon umpisa palang ng lingo, tapos biyernes na kaagad. Work eats up my time too, with barely enough time to do blogging. So i am almost always on a regular hiatus. Hahaha.

  8. Hahaha ako nga minsan 2 weeks, walang blog post! And I feel like a loser when that happens, like I don't have time to do what I love anymore. Sa ating mga mommy bloggers pa naman, parang baby natin yung blogs natin.. am I right?

I admire you for being in an LDM. Ang hirap, but everything's for the sake of your family so I wish you good luck and may God bless your family more! ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. Don't be afraid to take a hiatus every now and then! I do that for my mental well-being hahaha. What's keeping us busy? School! I love being a school-mom, mao siguro wala nagwork out sa amua ang homeschooling. ๐Ÿ˜€

  10. I so miss those days when all I had time for were my kids and when they're asleep, I write or blog. ๐Ÿ™‚ Now I'm juggling so many things — not that I'm complaining, it helps augment income. Life was simpler then though haha!
