Our Vacation Bible School 2017 was a success! Our five-day VBS ministry was concluded last Saturday, April 29th and it we are thankful for God’s provision throughout the 5-day activity.
During our last evaluation after the graduation day, we had everyone describe their VBS experience in one word. I was the first to share and with humor, I said that my one word would be “headache”. I had a headache for three straight days during the VBS so on Thursday and Friday, I decided to skip and rest.
Their one words were: #blessed, #enjoy, happy, amazing, astonishing, fun, cool. I knew there were more but these were the words I can remember for now. Their stories have touched me, personally and I am so happy for these youth who love doing the ministry! May God bless them always.
The purpose of VBS is to reach out to the little ones: tell them about the good news that Jesus died, buried and rose again for our sins. And if they accept him as their personal Savior and Lord, they become children of God and will be with God in heaven. Our church tries to have VBS once a year, during summer.
VBS 2017 is not possible without everyone who devoted their time, money and effort. Thanks to our church youth for their commitment and love for the kids. Thanks for their dedication to the ministry. For offering their lives to the work of the Lord.
Praise God for the kids who joined the VBS with us for six days. Their energy and sincerity and worry-free attitude are what inspired the team to keep going.
Thank you for our church sponsors – local and abroad. Those who gave a part of their finances to be able to help this ministry. This work is not possible without their financial help.
To our ‘mothers’ in the church who cooked lunch and prepared the children’s snacks – God sees your labor and they are all not in vain in the Lord.
Most of all thanks to God who is the source of everything that we have. He gives us all things so He deserves all the praise and glory. ‘Til next year’s VBS!
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
