One of our churches in Things to Come Mission Incorporated recently celebrated its 17th founding anniversary last Sunday, March 12, 2017, and I am happy to be a part of this wonderful celebration.
God blessed Dasmariñas Grace Gospel Church of Christ for 17 years already. Although it was unplanned, I, together with the other officers of the Grace Women’s Warriors decided to do our monthly visitation in this church at the same day. So Sunday at 5:20 AM, Nate and I left to be in Dasmariñas, Cavite.
Here are the highlights of this church anniversary (or should I say the things that I love about this church celebration).
The theme for this church anniversary was “living a mission-minded life” and they invited Ptr. James Bermejo to be their speaker. Ptr. James Bermejo reminded us that on a church mission, there is a sender and the person sent. One cannot do without the other. As someone who learned about missions and even thought of becoming one when I was young, I was reminded to do my part in the ministry.

I grew up attending different church gatherings since I was little. Every fellowship gives me joy. I am always delighted to see other believers and worship with them. I had a wonderful time singing praises to God with the people whom I don’t regularly see. It was great catching up with them too.

The church history
One of the elders stood up and talked about the history of this church. As I learned how this church started from scratch, through the lives of God’s faithful servant, I cannot help but praise Him for His faithfulness. Without their love for the ministry, this church will never a church that it is now. Indeed, God’s work done in God’s way is abundantly blessed. God is faithful.

We thank the entire Dasmariñas church for welcoming us to their church anniversary. I am grateful that I’m part of this fellowship. In addition to that, this day was also Dane and I’s 53 months as a married couple – that’s another reason to praise the Lord!
