WAHMa-Rama: My Daily Thoughts (Week 19)

“Each day of our lives we make deposits in the memory banks of our children.”

August 22, 2016 – Great things on a Monday!
Two great things happen today! 1. I Won a giveaway! Yaaay! It was Maan’s of Joyful Mess giveaway of a home pest control. I don’t usually win giveaways, so I was so happy I was one of the 2 winners! yaay! Simple things bring simple joys. ๐Ÿ™‚

2. Timberland hiking. We hiked uphill near us again. I think the last time we did was in March or February this year. We took our youngest sister with us, it was her first time here and I took a few nice photos. Nature is just so cool, they remind me of God’s greatness. So, posting a few photos here, because I looooove skies so much! lol.

August 23, 2016 – Singing Plus + DIY food and drinks
Today, we sang few a few good minutes, I’d say 30 to an hour. We sang anything we can think of, I played the guitar. We sang Nate’s nursery rhymes, we sang church songs, christian songs, any songs! My mother called and we sang to her over the phone. ๐Ÿ™‚ This was after brunch. lol. I’m glad we had this simple but lovely time together – me, Nate, my sister and my mother-in-law.

I’m not good with bento making, but I recently, I started trying to make Nate’s food, more appealing and this was what I made today: A “more” attractive lunch plate and a DIY choco drink using Milo, milk and whipped cream! lol.

August 25, 2016 – Dane’s off
Dane’s off means we get to talk non stop! So today, we stayed chatted for more than 100 minutes! Thank you, my love! This is the only day in the week where we can chat for a very long time because our schedules don’t match. Usually after he comes back to work, we’re already sleeping. And by the time we wake up, he’s fast asleep. The 5-hr difference of KSA vs PH shouldn’t be a big deal, except that his work schedule changes from time to time.

kenekeleg ekeeee!!! hahaa

August 26, 2016 – PAYDAY!!! LOL!
Don’t we just love paydays? Can we have payday all day, please! haha. Today, we went to buy groceries. I took my Nate, my sister and my mother-in-law with me. We dined and then we bought the things that we needed for the next 2 weeks.

The pay’s already allotted from our tithes, down to savings to expenses even before the pay came to my bank account, lol. After withdrawal, bye money! haha. They’re all inside the envelop.

August 27, 2016 – TGIF!
Yaaaaaaaas! One last push and it’s day off! I can do this! lol! Today’s a good week, thank you, Lord for everything! In every common days of our lives, there’s still a reason to be thankful, whether that’s a big or small blessing, it doesn’t matter.

Enjoy your weekend ahead!

  1. Hi! Thanks for the rundown. How was the pest control? Always looking for home made stuff to try it. Did it work? ๐Ÿ™‚ Love, love how you fixed Nate's food! So creative. I wish I could find a way to make food more appetizing. I usually just slump them in a plate without bothering to make an effort. Must make effort to make dishes more presentable. ๐Ÿ™‚ Anyway seems like you had a lovely week! Hope to read about your next update!

  2. The hiking is a wonderful thing to do! That long-distance is really a hindrance to you guys. It strengthens your relationship with each other. Yet, that toy really makes me want to buy McDonald's!

  3. Congratulations on winning the giveaway. Ain't that one of the best feelings in the world?! (I won many of them last year, I was on a streak).

  6. First of all, wow, those are awesome shots you took! Great view. And I am happy for you because despite the routine and deadlines you face, you still try to be positive and this post of yours, this series actually, is a great thing you are doing as you are affirming in your mind the good things that happened. And LDR is tough so I am sure you will take 100 minutes anytime anyday.

  7. What a week that was. I love, love hiking. Good thing there are places near you that are "hike friendly". As for the bento? I really admire Moms who can creatively execute their meal ideas. Good job on starting doing it, maybe in time we'll master it too just like the others. Hehe. And payday, yes! Who wouldn't love that day? Most promising day! Haha.

  8. Hahaha! Definitely payday's the most promising day! lol! Yes, there's a hike friendly place nearby, we're lucky. ๐Ÿ™‚ Yes, still a beginner in bento making, but sooner or later, we'll learn more, lol>!
