I have never tried using any parenting app before so when I was introduced to ParentTown, I had no idea what to expect our of this app. But after a few hours of trying this out, I started to like it. It’s like an Instagram specially made for parents.
Of course, first things first: sign up to get started. You don’t have to be a mom to have the app, if you are trying to conceive or pregnant, or still planning to start a family, this app is also for you. Upon sign up, choose your topic of interest. It’s important to have this since they filter your newsfeed based on your interest. And since I’m a mom to a toddler, my choices are given. Lol.
Your account preview and home page (where the questions are posted).
Edit Profile page to edit your info (left) and your timeline where it shows your recent activities (reminds me of an old Facebook timeline).
Here are a few of the many things that you can do with the ParentTown App:
1. Share a photo!
Share a photo and not worry about people thinking that you’re oversharing your child’s information when you’re just really proud! Lol. That’s the first thing I did. Lol.
|Don’t forget your Hashtags! 🙂|
2. Ask a Question
We are now blessed with technology that can greatly help us. You can ask questions, and expect wonderful parents to share their experience that can help you out. If you’re a bit uneasy with your question, you can choose to post anonymously. I asked about potty training and posted anonymously, this is for the sake of posting it anonymously, but it’s not anonymous really, ‘coz now you know this question is from me. lol.
3. Answer a question
Help others out by sharing your personal experience and answer other questions. Just like posting your answer, you can also choose to answer anonymously. So really, no pressure here and I like that!
