WAHMa-Rama: My Daily Thoughts (Week 11)

A toast for another week of challenges to overcome!

June 20 – God knows best!
Today, we got a bad news, after all the time, effort and we spent for my brother-in-law to be able to work abroad with Dane at the same company, he got a text message from the agency informing him that he didn’t make it to the final selection. We are shocked and devastated, I was so upset earlier that I called the agency to clarify what happened. Yeah, unfortunately, he didn’t make it, many others in his batch already have their passports so they were prioritized and the slots were filled.

So, yeah, we don’t know why God allowed for this to happen but We trust that He has a plan so we will continue to submit everything to Him. We may think that our plan is good but He’s got something that’s so much better. So we stick to the bright side – at least when he applies again, he now has his passport ready.

June 21 – Belo Baby Products arrived!

I was so excited to try out the Belo Baby Products and finally, they’re here! Didn’t waste time in joining the giveaway when I saw them via Frances of Topaz Horizon’s post. Looks like, the odds were on Nate and I’s favor because we were one of the 3 winners announced earlier this month. We got the body soap, hand and body lotion and hand and body wash. Yaaay!

June 22 – More sleep time for Mama!
Today, I had more sleep time and I’m so happy. This is not my usual sleep routine. Nate and I woke up at around 10 AM (he’s a night guy because of my job, he doesn’t sleep ’til dawn around 1 or 2 AM), then we ate, took a bath, chat with his papa (just recorded messages, not a video call this time), then we did a little writing and some letter activities, read books, then we both got sleepy, because of the weather, we slept around 3 PM and just woke up now (6:20 PM). This is supposed to be my sleep time ’til 8:30 PM since I work at 9PM. Now, I’m not sure if I can still go back to sleep! haha. Thanks for allowing me to rest more, son.

Simple toddler activities today: Reading, drawing and lettering pasting. BONUS: incy wincy spider on the wall. lol

June 23 – “Less” sleep time for Mama!
Well, kung ga’no kahaba ang tinulog ko kahapon, ganun naman ka igsi ang pahinga ko ngayon. Nate and I were lying down, ready to rest when he wouldn’t stop asking for my milk, he’s using it as a pacifier again. He loves doing that while he’s sleeping. But the problem is, I couldn’t position and rest well with him suckling on my milk all the time!

So at first I politely told him to stop asking for my dede and just sleep. At first he compiled but he was so irritated, he started moving around the bed, grumpy and slapping the pillows. I tried to explain, he wouldn’t listen. I lost my temper and I raised my voice. ๐Ÿ™ I was filled with pressure since I only had less than 2 hours to sleep before going to work. I scolded him. He was crying and I didn’t care. As I write this, I really felt so bad about what happened. I hate myself for loosing my patience. ๐Ÿ™ Thankfully, he’s ok now. :(((

June 24 – TGIF!
Thank God, it’s Fridaaaay!!!! Finally, I more shift and I can sleep with my Nate at night again. ๐Ÿ™‚ Can you believe June’s almost done too? Wow! Amazing how time flies, really! So here’s my funny self, dancing? if this is considered dancing, haha, feeling excited for July to come. ๐Ÿ™‚

Earlier today, we went to a store that sells shakes, kwek-kwek and fries. It was a hot afternoon, so we looked for something to eat. I was with Nate and my mother-in-law. By the time we were about to go home, guess what – I RAINED HARD! haha. I had to run back home to get an umbrella for Nate and my mother-in-law. We came unprepared so I had to think fast and run quickly back home (which is about 250 mts away). In the mean time, Nate and his lola were at the store waiting for me to come back. Well that was completely unexpected.

That’s life, it gives us so many surprises, most of the time, we are unprepared and we don’t know what to do sometimes, but if we stay calm and focus, we’ll be able to decide on what to do best. No matter what you’re going through right now, if you have a problem, just stay focused and do what you think you should do best to overcome the problem.

There’s a rainbow after a storm! ๐Ÿ™‚ God bless us all! Have a great weekend with family and love ones! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. I'm sorry for what happened with your brother-in-law. I hope he's able to find a job abroad soon as well. There will really be times when you're going to lose your patience, don't feel so bad as you are also trying your best.

  2. God has better plans. My brother in law failed in like 2-3 attempts to go abroad. Now, he is staying in the same place where we are. God knows the best time and place. =)
Great idea for the toddler. I might try that to my kids. =)

  3. If passport ang problem, I heard it is hard to get a passport nowadays, as in paschedule pa lang it will take months so two of my friends even went to DFA Lucena just to apply/renew their passports. Tiyagaan nga lang kasi madaling araw nandun na dapat kasi may cut off din.

  4. I felt the same when you lost your patience with Nate. It was a really tiring day for me and my little girl has been asking for my milk and I also did what you did ๐Ÿ™ I felt really bad after that. I repeatedly say sorry the day after. ๐Ÿ™

  5. So sorry to hear about the news about your brother-in-law. Romans 8:28. Delay doesn't mean denial. He'll have his appointed time.. his qarah moments. ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Wow, ikaw pala ang winner. Congratulations! I love Belo Baby. In fact, after we finished our stash from a Belo Baby event, I've been buying the soap na. Super effective for my youngest who has sensitive skin.

  7. Yes, I agree sis! That's what happened. Tiyagaan talaga. Actually, 3 days kami nagtry mag reschedule for another date. And the soonest move date we could do was 2 weeks earlier.

  8. It's so sad about your brother in law. Oh well, God has better things planned for him. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I got the same Belo Baby products too and we've almost used it up na. They're so bango! hehe

  9. I am sometime guilty of losing patience with my boys too when I am so tired from a long days work. I feel sad after and try to make up. As parend though we should learn to save energy for the ones that really matter "our family".
