Long story short, May 7th came, it was simple, it was tiresome, it was fun and it was memorable. Nate loves it every time someone sings “happy birthday” to him, and he’s a happy camper the entire time.
My plan was, compared to last year where we celebrated his birthday in the church, this year, I wanted to invite the kids in the neighborhood to come over, as well as the kids in our church. I also asked for our Sunday School teacher to come and teach the children about Jesus and the bible before playing. And it happened as planned and I am so thankful that the word of God is preached to the kids. That’s the main reason why I wanted to have a simple celebration (instead of just eat outside).

After the bible lessons, we prayed and started with the games. It was fun! They played a few fun and tiring games. I didn’t do anything other than watch! haha. They played the simple and usual Filipino games that children play. It’s always nice to see the kids having fun, you know that their joy is genuine. 🙂

After the games, we gave small prizes and giveaways to the kids and had dinner. Yum! 🙂 Shout out to our lovely neighbors na dumalo at tumulong sa paghahanda (and also to our church mates na pumunta kahit malayo dito sa tirahan namin). Sana ay nabusog kayong lahat! lol.
After dinner, we had a short meditation led by our church pastor, Ptr. Boni. We meditated on God’s word, sang worship songs together and gave our birthday wishes to Nate. I also showed them (again) the video montage that I made for Nate’s 2nd birthday, lol (proudmama, haha!).

I couldn’t do this alone. Thanks to my mother-in-law, our neighbor and Junalyn who helped in cooking and preparing the food. To my brothers-in-law who helped with the decoration and took care of Nate while I needed to finish something, and to everyone who came and celebrated on Nate’s birthday, thanks for loving my son! I appreciate all the time and effort. To my dearest husband, Dane who was supporting me all the way and most of all to God for giving us a good weather and made everything perfect in His time.
