I have posted this on my personal Facebook wall as well. This is my first participation for the election and alas, it didn’t turn out well.
This happened in Commonwealth Elementary School (I was able to take a few photos and a video of this but I’m not sure if I’m allowed to post them).
Problem #3: Walang replacement VCM (pagkagaling!)
Bottomline: An announcement was made around 4:30 PM. Ito ang binigay saming solusyon:
Solution #1: Hintaying makarating ang replacement VCM (pero walang confirmation from the City Hall kung may darating ba o wala).
Solution #2: We fill out the ballots, get inked and leave our ballots at sila na ang maglalagay pagdating ng replacement VCM. The only assurance they gave us is this: MAY MGA WATCHERS NAMAN PO, sila po ang tutulong mamaya pagdating ng bagong VCM. Sila na po mag veverify at magchecheck.
I was hesitant but I did what others did, cast my vote, left my ballot and left the presinct. Nung nasa baba na ako, di ko pa gustong umuwi, so I went back and talked to the watchers (there were 3 of them at that time), I asked if I could contact anyone of them to give me an update later pag OK na. Nagtitigan silang tatlo. At sabi nila, “Si Sir nalang po kausapin nyo” (ang tinutukoy nila ay yung either technician or nag aassist sa voters who was too busy at that time). I had no choice but to leave reluctantly.
I was so willing to wait but I have a sick son waiting for me at home and I have a job to do later tonight so, like the others, I feel like, we were left with no good options.
God bless the Philippines.
