Christmas is told to be the time for people to reconcile, forgive and forget. It’s the busiest time to wrap gifts, to shop and spend more money for others. The saddest thing about Christmas is forgetting the real meaning and reason for celebrating it. Sometimes, we get too pre-occupied preparing gifts and food, planning our schedules for Christmas parties, decorating our homes and budgeting our finances to make sure we cover the expenses for everything we plan to purchase. Have we lost the real reason why we celebrate each year?
More than 2000 years ago, Jesus was born in Bethlehem, took the form of a servant and lived a simple and selfless life in order to save us. He died for our sins for us to live with Him eternally in heaven as long as we accept Him as our personal Lord and Savior. God’s love and Christ’s sacrifice is the main reason for Christmas.
May this be our reason to celebrate. Happy holidays!
